Raisins And Gravy

Warm raisin cake makes it's own sauce while baking. My friends sons used to call it raisins and gravy when they were very young 'cause it does look like that.
Ingredients
- 2 T butter shopping list
- 1/2 c sugar shopping list
- 1c flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp soda shopping list
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 c chopped walnuts shopping list
- 1/2 c raisins shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1/2 c milk shopping list
- 1 c brown sugar shopping list
- 2 c boiling water shopping list
How to make it
- Mix as a cake the butter, sugar, flour, soda, nutmeg and salt
- Add nuts, raisins, vanilla and milk
- Pour into lightly greased 9x9 square pan
- Sprinkle the brown sugar over batter in pan, dot the remaining butter on mixture and pour boiling water over all.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 30 min.
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
- Yummy but very rich!
