How to make it

  • COMBINE THE CAKE MIX, VEGETABLE OIL AND EGGS IN A LARGE BOWL AND MIX WELL.
  • STIR IN THE VANILLA CHIPS.
  • DROP BY ROUNDED TEASPOONFULS 1INCH APART ONTO AN UNGREASED COOKIE SHEET.
  • BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR 8 TO 10 MINUTES OR UNTIL THE COOKIES ARE PUFFED.
  • LET STAND UNTIL COOL.
  • SPREAD THE FROSTING OVER COOLED COOKIES.

    I have been making cake mix cookies since I was 16 and worked in a bakery. I didn't last long in the bakery because one day I was told to make a rum cake. I was told to follow the recipe, which I did! When it called for 1/3 cup rum, I used the only thing I saw which was rum flavoring! The whole place smell great for days! Everyone who came in asked for whatever it was that smelled that good! My career as a baker didn't last long! LOL Thanks for sharing! Deb
