YAM SQUARES This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Mendez Estate in Arlington, Texas in 1986. This are very good. I make them during the holiday season every year and they are always a big hit. Read more See less
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour shopping list
- 1 stick oleo shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans shopping list
- Filling: shopping list
- 1 large instant vanilla pudding shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 1 can mashed yams shopping list
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- Cool Whip shopping list
How to make it
- Melt oleo and mix flour and pecans all together.
- Press in a long dish and bake at 350 for 12 minutes.
- Cool completely.
- Whip all filling ingredients together except Cool Whip and pour over cool crust.
- Top with Cool Whip.
- Sprinkle crushed pecans on top.
