Lavender Lemonade Recipe

Ocean Edge Resort on Cape Cod's recipe for a sophisticated version of traditional lemonade.
Ingredients
- 1/2 c dried lavender shopping list
- 2 c sugar shopping list
- fresh lemon juice shopping list
- water shopping list
How to make it
- To make the lavender syrup, boil 1/2 c dried lavender with 1 c of sugar and 1 c of water. Strain and save in a squeeze bottle.
- Next boil equal amounts of sugar and water (i.e, 1 c of sugar and 1 c water) to create a simple syrup.
- To make fresh lemonade, combine one part simple syrup, one part fresh lemon juice and four parts water. Stir throughly.
- Fill a 12 oz glass with ice, then coat ice with about 1 T of the lavender syrup.
- Top with the lemonade
- I let the lavender syrup cool before straining for a more intense lavender flavor.
