- 2 Tablespoon butter,softened shopping list
- 2 Tablespoon brown sugar shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon honey shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon light molasses shopping list
- 1 Cup quick-cooking rolled oats shopping list
- 2 Tablespoon whole wheat flour shopping list
- 2/3 Cup snipped mixed dried fruits shopping list
- 1/2 Cup boiling water shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon butter shopping list
- 1 Slightly beaten egg shopping list
- 1/4 Cup packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1/4 Cup whole wheat flour shopping list
- 2 Tablespoon wheat germ shopping list
- 2 Tablespoon wheat bran shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves shopping list
- 1/2 Cup chopped walnuts shopping list
How to make it
- In a bowl blend together the 2 Tablespoos of butter,the 2Tablespoons sugar,honey and molasses.
- Stir in oats and the 2 Tablespoon whole wheat flour
- Press into the bottom of a greased 8x8x2" pan
- Bake in a 350 degree oven for 5 minutes
- Meanwhile,combine fruit,boiling water,and the 1 Tablespoon butter,
- Let stand 5 minutes
- Stir in egg,1/4cup brown sugar,1/4 cup wheat flour,wheat germ,wheat bran,cinnamon,salt,cloves.
- Stir in Walnuts
- Spread over prebaked crust.
- Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes more
- Cool on rack
- Cut into 2x1 1/2 " bars
