This was created in honor of Idaho's centennial (1990). A very different "lasagne"!

Ingredients
  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 c spaghetti sauce, homemade or commercial
  • 6 potatoes, raw, well scrubbed, thinly sliced
  • 1 small carton ricotta cheese
  • 2 lbs grated mozzarella cheese

Directions
  1. Brown hamburger and garlic, drain grease; add spaghetti sauce.
  2. Spray or grease a 9x14 inch baking dish.
  3. Cover the bottom with a thin layer of sauce. Arrange potato over sauce, slightly overlapping slices. Spread ricotta cheese over potato, layer with mozzarella and sauce; repeat layers 3 times, ending with mozzarella.
  4. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until potatoes test tender when poked with a fork.
  5. Soooo yummy!

I cooked one like this the other week but I only had one cheese, cheddar cheese in it and we liked it. This one saounds so much better.
