Oatmeal cookie with an interesting crunch due to the cornflakes. I believe it came from a newspaper column years ago.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups cornflakes
  • 1 cup oats

Directions
  1. Cream together margarine and both sugars until light.
  2. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  3. Stir together next 4 ingredients and add to wet in two additions.
  4. Stir in remaining oats and cornflakes.
  5. Drop onto greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake at 350 F for 8 minutes, turning pans at half time.
