Gingersnap Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2/3 c vegetable oil
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 4 Tbl molasses
  • 2 c sifted flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp cloves (ground)
  • 1/4 c sugar for dipping

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Mix oil, sugar and molasses
  3. Add egg and beat well.
  4. Sift together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger & cloves.
  5. Add to egg mixture and mix well.
  6. Roll into small (about 1 tsp) balls and drop into sugar to coat.
  7. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet, 3 inches apart (they flatten and get BIG).
  8. Bake 10-12 mins, remove from oven.
  9. Let sit for 1 min on sheet, then place on rack to cool.
  10. Eat as many as you can before anyone else discovers that you have made them.
