Junes Chicken Pot Pie

- Pie Crust- 9 or 10 inch for large glass dishes shopping list
- About 2 cups cooked chciken shopping list
- Cooked carrots,peas, onion (minced) shopping list
- White Sauce: shopping list
- 6 Tbsp Margerine/butter shopping list
- 6 Tbsp flour shopping list
- 3 Cups milk shopping list
- 1/4-1/2 tsp thyme shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/8 tsp pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Cook chicken and allow to cool
- Use chicken stock to cook vegetables
- Prepare whit sauce: Melt margerine; saute onion
- Remove from heat and blend in flour until smooth
- Gradually add in milk
- Cover over med heat until sauce thickens and comes to a boil
- Add spices
- Reduce heat; simmer 2-3 minutes to remove flour taste
- *Bake 425 degrees for 30 minutes
- Then an addition 5 minutes on bottom rack
- Mix with white sauce and pour into pie crust.
- Top with crust and seal edges; pierce edges
