This is all because of a gingerbread house making set my sister got me one year that I forgot about. The gingerbread was hard as a rock but I didn't want to waste it. But I had time on my hands, so this beauty was born!

No, I didn't put tin foil over it or sit it in a huge roasting pan full of water. I know, typical amateurish mistake.

And I paid for it when the thing came out of the oven and deflated on me like a troublesome soufflé. I ended up cutting the browned edges off and eating it.

When the cherries went on, nobody was able to tell I completely screwed this up. Woohoo! lol
