How to make it

  • Mix the water and shortneing and let stand
  • Add remaining ingredients,and stir all together
  • May add raisins,nuts,currants (I like chopped dried apricots or craisins)
  • Bake in muffin pan lined with paper baking cups
  • 400 degree for 20 minutes
  • Note: Will keep 6 weeks in the refrigerator in a covered container
  • Makes about 4 to 6 dozen muffins
