German Potatoe Pancake Lippischer Pickert Recipe
this is a dish from my hometown. u can have it for breakfast, brunch or kids will also have it for lunch, its very yummy and an all time favorite for many many generations.

Ingredients
  • 10 big potatoes
  • 300 g flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tbs sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 ltr warm milk
  • 1 sqare yeast
  • raisins

Directions
  1. peel and grate potatoes
  2. add sugar
  3. add eggs
  4. add salt
  5. add flour
  6. dissolve yeast in milk
  7. combine milk/yeast with grated potatoe mix
  8. dust raisins with flour and add to mixture
  9. cool dough about 45 min until it doubles in its size
  10. heat oil in pan
  11. create pancake size pickert in pan and bake until golden brown.
  12. this dish is being served with apple sauce, cinnamon sugar mix or also a type of syrup which is made from sugarbeet (its delicious). for all my americans outthere feel free to serve any other syrup with it. enjoy!
