Banana Strudel Recipe

Ingredients

Phyllo dough 1/2 pkg 8 half sheet (6x17)

Pecans toasted 1. cups finely chopped

Banana 2

Powdered sugar 1 cup

Butter 5 TBLS (unsalted)

Honey

Parchment Paper

2 cookie sheets

Directions

Set oven to 375 degrees

Line cookie sheets with parchment paper

Melt butter

Have your pecans toasted and then grind

Have bananas cut in lengthwise then again so you have 4 banana spears ( don't worry if they break you can still use them)

Open your phyllo

take one sheet butter half way

Sprinkle through a shaker 10X sugar to cover entire sheet (scant)Sprinkle you pecans over the powdered sugar

At the bottom of the phyllo place 1 spear of banana

Roll for bottom to almost the top

Put honey across edge to lock

Place on cookie sheet

Repeat for remainder 7 sheets of phyllo

brush again with butter all tops of rolls

Bake until ligh golder color

Serve warm with ice-cream or fruit compote

I always double the recipe. THey look so pretty on a fancy tray . Make sure to make enough they will go.

Please let me know how you enjoyed them when you make them. Once you get the knack they are so easy.
I also butter( lightly the whole sheet, gave it more buttery taste.
