Banana strudel

- phyllo dough 1/2 pkg 8 half sheet (6x17) shopping list
- pecans toasted 1. cups finely chopped shopping list
- banana 2 shopping list
- powdered sugar 1 cup shopping list
- butter 5 TBLS (unsalted) shopping list
- honey shopping list
- parchment paper shopping list
- 2 cookie sheets shopping list
How to make it
- Set oven to 375 degrees
- Line cookie sheets with parchment paper
- Melt butter
- Have your pecans toasted and then grind
- Have bananas cut in lengthwise then again so you have 4 banana spears ( don't worry if they break you can still use them)
- Open your phyllo
- take one sheet butter half way
- Sprinkle through a shaker 10X sugar to cover entire sheet (scant)Sprinkle you pecans over the powdered sugar
- At the bottom of the phyllo place 1 spear of banana
- Roll for bottom to almost the top
- Put honey across edge to lock
- Place on cookie sheet
- Repeat for remainder 7 sheets of phyllo
- brush again with butter all tops of rolls
- Bake until ligh golder color
- Serve warm with ice-cream or fruit compote
- I always double the recipe. THey look so pretty on a fancy tray . Make sure to make enough they will go.
