How to make it

  • Set oven to 375 degrees
  • Line cookie sheets with parchment paper
  • Melt butter
  • Have your pecans toasted and then grind
  • Have bananas cut in lengthwise then again so you have 4 banana spears ( don't worry if they break you can still use them)
  • Open your phyllo
  • take one sheet butter half way
  • Sprinkle through a shaker 10X sugar to cover entire sheet (scant)Sprinkle you pecans over the powdered sugar
  • At the bottom of the phyllo place 1 spear of banana
  • Roll for bottom to almost the top
  • Put honey across edge to lock
  • Place on cookie sheet
  • Repeat for remainder 7 sheets of phyllo
  • brush again with butter all tops of rolls
  • Bake until ligh golder color
  • Serve warm with ice-cream or fruit compote
  • I always double the recipe. THey look so pretty on a fancy tray . Make sure to make enough they will go.

    Please let me know how you enjoyed them when you make them. Once you get the knack they are so easy.
    I also butter( lightly the whole sheet, gave it more buttery taste.
