CRANBERRY APPLESAUCE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Wagner Estate in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1990.

Ingredients
  • 4 large apples peeled cored and chopped
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3" cinnamon stick
  • 3" strip lemon zest

Directions
  1. In heavy saucepan cook all ingredients over moderate heat stirring for 15 minutes.
  2. Discard cinnamon stick and lemon zest then force mixture through a food mill.
