How to make it

  • In large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients EXCEPT chocolate syrup
  • Blend with mixer for 30 seconds
  • Beat at medium for 2 minutes
  • Pour 1/2 batter into a separate bowl
  • Stir into this batter 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
  • Spoon batters alternately into a greased and floured 10 tube or Bundt pan
  • Zig zag spatula through batter to marble
  • Place in oven and bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until center springs back when lightly touched
  • Cool 15 minutes before removing from pan
  • MAY ICE WITH A FAVORITE CHOCOLATE ICING AND TOP WITH CRUSHED PISTACHIOS
  • Cake is delicious served without icing and chocolate ice cream
