Indian Cornmeal Scrapple Recipe
This is rather good,I beleive that if you try it, that you will aquire a taste for it.

Ingredients
  • 1& 1/2 Cups boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasonings
  • 1 Cup Onions, minced
  • 1 Cup Cooked,chopped Ham (or)sausage
  • 2/3 Cup Yellow Corn Meal
  • 1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • Butter

Directions
  1. In Double Boiler
  2. Bring the water,salt,pepper,seasonings,onion and ham or sausage to a boil
  3. Add cornmeal,stirring until smooth
  4. Cook over hot water in the double boiler for 30 minutes,watch and stir
  5. Remove from heat and turn into a buttered 8" Loaf Pan
  6. Let it set until firm(I usually make it a day a head and Chill
  7. Heat butter and a little oil in fry pan
  8. Slice the scrapple and fry slices,browning lightly on both sides
  9. Make: a gravy with heated condensed mushroom soup
  10. Note: I serve it for Breakfast and Serve the Fried Scrapple with Hot Maple Syrup.
