Caraway Sour Cream Cabbage Recipe
This is very creamy and very tasty. I like to serve this year round with baked chicken or grilled pork chops. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 6 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 1 cup dairy sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • Paprika

Directions
  1. In saucepan bring water and salt to boiling.
  2. Add cabbage and onion then cook covered for 8 minutes.
  3. Drain reserving cooking liquid then add enough water to cooking liquid to make 3/4 cup.
  4. In same saucepan blend together sour cream, flour, mustard, caraway seed, salt and pepper.
  5. Stir in cooking liquid then fold in cabbage and onion and turn mixture into a casserole dish.
  6. Bake covered at 350 for 20 minutes stirring once.
  7. Sprinkle generously with paprika then serve immediately.
