Aunt Bills Hershey Bar Cake Recipe
This is a family recipe developed by my Great Aunt Bill. It's very rich so a little goes a long way. Wrap up the leftovers tight so it doesn't dry out. It also freezes well

Ingredients
  • 2 stick butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 8 melted Hershey Bars
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • pinch salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup pecan pieces

Directions
  1. pre-heat oven 300 degrees
  2. butter & flour 1 long loaf pan or 2 regular loaf pans
  3. Cream butter and sugar, add Hersheys
  4. Add eggs one at a time
  5. Add vanilla
  6. Combine flour and salt
  7. Combine buttermilk & baking soda
  8. Add milk & flour alternately
  9. Fold in pecans
  10. Spoon into loaf pans
  11. bake at 300 for 90 minutes
  12. Check regular loaf pans after 1 hour
  13. Cake is done when pick comes out clean
