Aunt Bills Hershey Bar Cake

This is a family recipe developed by my Great Aunt Bill. It's very rich so a little goes a long way. Wrap up the leftovers tight so it doesn't dry out. It also freezes well
Ingredients
- 2 stick butter shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 2 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 8 melted Hershey Bars shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups flour shopping list
- pinch salt shopping list
- 1 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 1/4 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1 cup pecan pieces shopping list
How to make it
- pre-heat oven 300 degrees
- butter & flour 1 long loaf pan or 2 regular loaf pans
- Cream butter and sugar, add Hersheys
- Add eggs one at a time
- Add vanilla
- Combine flour and salt
- Combine buttermilk & baking soda
- Add milk & flour alternately
- Fold in pecans
- Spoon into loaf pans
- bake at 300 for 90 minutes
- Check regular loaf pans after 1 hour
- Cake is done when pick comes out clean
