How to make it
- Fill large enamel canner 3 quarters of the way full of water cover and heat to boil.
- Fill two enamel stock pots 3 quarters full of water bring to a boil.
- Wash all jars, rings, lids, plastic canning spatula, magnetic lid pick up tool, plasic funnel and jar pick up tool. (Have clean towels on hand)
- Wash and clean tomatoes. Drop 7 med. at a time blanch for 3 minutes remove put in cold water, revome skins, core, cut in quarters and put in pot. Repeat until pot is full cook on low until boiling. Boil for 12 minutes and remove scum as needed.
- Dip clean pint jars, lids and rings into boiling water for 3 minutes.
- Fill jars with tomatoes and 1 teaspoon of canning salt. Use plastic canning spatula to remove air bubbles. Put on lids and rings. Set into boiling water in canner , boil for 40 minutes. Remove and place jars on hard surface. do not touch wait for lids to pop (seal) and do not move for 24 hours.
