Always Perfect Baking Powder Biscuits With Onions Recipe
These are very tasty and very flaky biscuits. I like to serve them with garlic butter. Yummers

Ingredients
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 shallot
  • 11 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions
  1. Heat oven to 400 then line baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Peel and mince onion and shallot and sauté in 1 tablespoon margarine until softened.
  3. Cool then stir in milk and set aside.
  4. Mix flours, bring powder and salt in food processor bowl.
  5. Cut 9 tablespoons margarine into small pieces.
  6. Pulse until mixture resembles course meal.
  7. Pulse in milk and onion mixture until dough holds together then transfer to floured board.
  8. Knead 10 times then roll dough 3/4" thick.
  9. Cut into 1-1/2” squares then brush remaining margarine on tops.
  10. Bake until brown approximately 18 minutes.
