Porridge

- 200 g Short grain rice , washed and drained shopping list
- 3 tbsps raw peanut shopping list
- 1 Holland potato shopping list
- 8 Dried scallops shopping list
- 2 tbsps White bait shopping list
- 1 shallot , chopped shopping list
- 1 clove Garlic , chopped shopping list
- 1 Slice ginger , shredded shopping list
- 2 tbsps oil shopping list
- 2 Tbsps spring onions shopping list
- soy sauce shopping list
- salt shopping list
- ground pepper shopping list
- sesame oil shopping list
How to make it
- Soak peanut in water overnight or atleast 4 hours .
- Boil it in water along with ribs , potato for 1 hour .
- Discard the ribs and the potato .
- Saute shallot , ginger and garlic in oil until fragrant .
- Add rice and stir fry for couple of minutes .
- Pour into the boiling stock .
- Rinse the white bait and add to the above .
- Simmer once the rice starts to boil .
- Add water when needed and boil the rice slowly until it becomes soft .
- Add salt and soy sauce to taste .
- Serve with pepper , sesame oil , fritters and spring onion
