How to make it

  • Heat the water and butter in a pan and when boiling add the sifted Flour.
  • Stir briskly whilst still heating until the paste ois smooth.
  • when cool, beat in the Egg.
  • Place dessertspoonfuls of the mixture on to a greased baking sheet
  • Bake at Gas mark 5 for 1 hour.
  • When cooked, and cooled, slit the bun and pipe in beaten Fresh cream.
  • ICING
  • Boil the water and chocolate together for a few minutes until quite smooth.
  • stir in the Icing sugar until thick enough to run the chocolate mix over the top of the Buns
  • THIS SAME RECIPE EXACTLY CAN BE USED ASA FOR CHOCOLATE ECLAIRS, BUT YOU WILL NEED - FOR BEST RESULTS - AN ECLAIR BAKING TIN.
