How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 200°C. Line an oven tray with baking paper.
  • Put berries in a large mixing bowl and dust with icing sugar and add the lemon juice. Toss gently and set aside for 15 minutes.
  • Butter 1 side of the brioche slices and sprinkle with caster sugar. Bake for 6-8 minutes or until the bread is lightly golden and crisp.
  • Spoon over the crème fraîche.
  • Top with the berries.
  • Dust with icing sugar and serve immediately.
