I don't remember where I got this one. I had it forever, it seems like. This is a better way to cook cubed steak! And you use that good ole Dutch oven, I love that thing!
Ingredients
- 8 slices cubed steak, cut into 3-inch chunks shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic shopping list
- 1 small can tomato sauce shopping list
- 1/2 quart ketchup shopping list
- 6 to 8 potatoes, cut into chunks shopping list
- 4 to 6 carrots, sliced shopping list
- 1 onion, diced shopping list
- 1 bell pepper shopping list
- 2 Tblsps. hot pepprs, chopped shopping list
- salt to taste. shopping list
- 1 Tblesp. olive oil shopping list
How to make it
- Cook in Dutch oven.
- Very lightly brown the steak , onions and garlic, in 1 Tblesp. of olive oil. Add remaining ingredients and then add enough water to cover.
- Bring to a boil and then lower to medium-low heat for 30 minutes to 1 hr. until veggies are tender.
