Ingredients
  • I've written the recipe for 1 person, so multiply accordingly:
  • 2 medium size potatoes
  • Sunflower oil
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions
  1. 1. Pre-heat the oven to 180 Celsius.
  2. 2. Heat a roasting tin covered in sunflower oil (be generous with the oil).
  3. 3. Peel and slice potatoes into strips around 1cm thick chips
  4. 4. Boil the chips for around 3-5 mins. This helps when you roast them.
  5. 5. Strain the chips in a colander, and fluff them in the colander.
  6. 7. Place in the roasting tin (the oil should be very hot now!)
  7. 8. Roast for 18-20 mins, Turn the chips halfway through
  8. 9. Chips should look golden brown when down.
  9. 9. Take out of tin and put on plate covered with kitchen roll, pat chips with more kitchen roll to get rid of the excess oil.
  10. 10. Season with salt and pepper and serve.
