Ingredients
  • 6 cups oats
  • 1 - 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 - 1/4 cup seeds
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup dried fruit

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spread oats and nuts on a baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Transfer to large bowl and stir in the seeds and cinnamon. Turn the oven down to 300 degrees.
  3. In a small bowl combined the maple syrup, honey, and vanilla. Pour over oat mixture and stir to coat.
  4. Spread on baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring once or twice. Remove and put in the dried fruit.
  5. Do not worry if the mixture is still moist. It will dry if you leave it for a little while. It is also very hot when you remove it from the oven, so be careful!

I'm always looking for the "perfect" granola recipe. Will definitely give this a try. What kinds of seeds do you usually use?

I prefer sunflower seeds myself. I have tried sesame, but they don't seem to add much to the recipe... you can barely even notice them.
