Vintage Comfort French Toast

- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- 2 cups cornflakes shopping list
- 4 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 6 tablespoons sugar shopping list
- 6 slices dense white bread shopping list
How to make it
- Stir in eggs, milk, nutmeg and salt together in a bowl until well blended.
- Crumble cornflakes and spread on a piece of wax paper.
- Dip both sides of each slice of bread into milk batter.
- Press each slice of bread on both sides of cornflakes to coat bread well.
- Melt 2 tablespoons butter in 12" skillet over medium heat and fry 3 slices of bread until golden.
- Sprinkle 1 tablespoon sugar on top of each slice and keep warm in a 250 oven.
- Continue process with remaining toast.
- Serve hot with your favorite syrup.
