How to make it

  • Stir in eggs, milk, nutmeg and salt together in a bowl until well blended.
  • Crumble cornflakes and spread on a piece of wax paper.
  • Dip both sides of each slice of bread into milk batter.
  • Press each slice of bread on both sides of cornflakes to coat bread well.
  • Melt 2 tablespoons butter in 12" skillet over medium heat and fry 3 slices of bread until golden.
  • Sprinkle 1 tablespoon sugar on top of each slice and keep warm in a 250 oven.
  • Continue process with remaining toast.
  • Serve hot with your favorite syrup.
