Kevins Hot Millet Cereal Recipe
Make the millet the night before and this is a quick and nutritious breakfast. Zap the millet in the microwave or toss it around in a frying pan, then add the other ingredients. Eat more grains!

  • 1 c. millet
  • Raisins, soaked overnight
  • Dried apricots, thinly sliced
  • Honey or maple syrup to taste
  • 1 tsp. butter (opt)

Directions
  1. The flavor of millet is enhanced by lightly roasting the grains in a dry pan before cooking; stir constantly for approximately three minutes or until a mild, nutty aroma is detected.
  2. Cook millet as you would rice, using 3 cups of water to 1 cup of millet for 30 minutes. Check for doneness after the 30 minutes. Don’t peek! Make the millet the night before for a quick and nutritious breakfast.

This looks great!!! I end up making oatmeal every morning with a few strips of bacon or a little steak...gets boring after a while...but millet, raisins and apricots along with honey..that sounds very healthy!!
