Millet Cashew Patties

- 1 ½ c. cooked millet shopping list
- 1 c. rolled oats shopping list
- ½ c. cashews shopping list
- 1 c. water shopping list
- 1 med. onion (chopped fine) shopping list
- ½ tsp freshly minced garlic shopping list
- 2 T soy sauce shopping list
How to make it
- The flavor of millet is enhanced by lightly roasting the grains in a dry pan before cooking; stir constantly for approximately three minutes or until a mild, nutty aroma is detected.
- Cook millet like rice, using 1 cup millet to 3 cups water or stock, for 30 minutes. Boil at first, then reduce to simmer and don’t peek.
- Blend cashews and water.
- Pour over other ingredients.
- Mix well and form into patties.
- Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 325F.
- Good in sandwiches or as veggie burgers in buns.
