Peach Slice Tapioca Cobbler Recipe
PEACH SLICE TAPIOCA COBBLER This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Crawford Estate in Quinlan, Texas in 1982.

Ingredients
  • 1 can yellow cling sliced peaches
  • 3 tablespoons granulated tapioca
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Biscuit dough using 3 cups flour

Directions
  1. Combine peaches, juice and tapioca then allow to stand 10 minutes.
  2. Mix together sugar, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg then stir into peach mixture.
  3. Put in shallow baking dish and dot with butter.
  4. Roll your favorite biscuit dough 1/4” thick then prick with fork and arrange over peach mixture.
  5. Bake at 425 for 30 minutes then serve warm with cream.
