Crusty Fruit Triangles

- 2 cups sifted cake flour shopping list
- 2 teaspoons double-acting baking powder shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 tablespoons sugar shopping list
- 1/3 cup shortening shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoons grated orange rind shopping list
- 1/2 cup seedless raisins shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
How to make it
- Extra sugar and milk
- Sift flour once then measure and sift again with baking powder, salt and sugar.
- Cut in shortening until well mixed then add orange rind and raisins.
- Add milk and stir until a soft dough is formed.
- Turn this out on a lightly floured board and knead 30 seconds then roll it 1/2” thick.
- Cut in triangles and place them on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Brush tops lightly with a mixture of equal parts of sugar and milk.
- Bake at 450 for 15 minutes.
