This wonderfully creamy recipe is a great spin on an old favorite. It's a number one hit at our house! We got the idea from SouthernCooks.com and tweeked it just a little, hope you enjoy.

Ingredients
  • 3/4 Cup of butter
  • 3/4 Cup chopped onion
  • 3 cans of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 Cup of half and half
  • 2 Cups sour cream
  • 3 cans of tuna, drained
  • 1-1/2 Cup of fresh, sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tsp. Garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. Cavander's greek seasoning
  • 1 tsp. Lawry's season salt
  • 1 tsp. Pepper

Directions
  1. In a frying pan over medium-high heat, melt butter
  2. Saute onion and mushrooms together until mushrooms have begun to soften and onion is transparent.
  3. Add half and half, mushroom soup, sour cream, tuna and seasonings, blend thouroughly.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and simmer for one half hour. Adjust seasoning and cook 10 minutes more, serve over egg noodles and enjoy!

Love easy recipes using tuna, gets a big 5er from me!


I'm crazy about this recipe. It will be so good with the Sour Cream .... not that I should eat fattening things like that! Here in South Africa we don't get fat free Sour cream. I'm definitely making it though .... for a treat!
