How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 f.
  • Cook pasta according to package directions, drain.
  • Fry ground beef and onions until beef is no longer pink, add in mushrooms. If using fresh mushrooms, add when ground beef is almost cooked through to allow ample cooking time. Drain grease. Drain juice from tomatoes. Combine the ground beef mixture with the tomatoes and pasta in a large casserole dish. If desired add 1 cup of grated mozzarella or cheddar cheese. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
  • Serve with a tossed or Caesar salad.

    I tried this last night, all in all was good...but next time right before throwing it in the oven I will be adding more tomato juice, about 1/2 to 3/4 cup.

    Forgot to add, if you really like tomatoes, you can double the amount!
