Sliced Chicken and Vegetables

- 1/2 pound string beans cut into 1/2” pieces shopping list
- 3 tablespoons oil or fat shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1 pound cooked chicken cut into thin slices shopping list
- 1/4 pound fresh mushrooms sliced shopping list
- 1 cup celery diced shopping list
- 1 cup cabbage cut into 1/4” pieces shopping list
- 1 cup chicken broth shopping list
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch shopping list
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce shopping list
- 1/4 cup hot water shopping list
- Hot boiled rice shopping list
How to make it
- Cook string beans in boiling water until tender.
- In a preheated frying pan place oil, salt and pepper.
- Add cooked chicken, mushrooms, celery, cabbage and chicken broth.
- Cover pan tightly and cook over a moderate flame for 5 minutes then add string beans.
- Blend together remaining ingredients and add to chicken and vegetables.
- Cook a few more minutes stirring constantly until juice thickens and mixture is very hot.
- Serve immediately with hot boiled rice.
