Cherry Hot Chocolate Recipe

How to make it

  • Combine milk and 1 cup cream and 1/2 cup maraschino cherry syrup in a saucepan.
  • Cook and stir in saucepan until hot ( do not boil )
  • Reduce heat to keep warm.
  • In another bowl, beat 1 cup cream with electric mixer until
  • foamy.
  • While beating gradually add the powdered sugar and remaining cherry syrup, beat to soft peaks.
  • Ladle hot milk mixture into 4 glass mugs .
  • Spoon the whipped cream over each mug and top with a stemmed cherry,cinnamon stick and or tiny chocolate bar.
  • Note: this looks great in those Irish coffee glass mugs !
