Chilled Fresh Cream Of Tomato Soup Recipe
I have not made this soup, it comes from my estate sale collection and it sounds really good and really creamy.

Ingredients
  • 12 ounces canned peeled tomatoes plus liquid
  • 2 large tomatoes peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup light cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions
  1. Place tomatoes, onion, lemon juice, sage, basil, nutmeg and broth in blender.
  2. Blend until almost smooth leaving some texture then add cream, salt and pepper.
  3. Mix well then refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
