My grandma didn't make these cookies. But somebody's grandma did and they're mighty tasty.

Ingredients
  • 4 cups sifted flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • juice and zest of 1 orange
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • Glaze:
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • milk

Directions
  1. Preaheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Sift together flour,soda,baking powder,and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl,cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs,juice and zest.
  5. Add flour alternating with milk.
  6. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
  8. Cool on wire racks.
  9. Glaze:
  10. Combine confectioners sugar and milk.
  11. Spoon onto cooled cookies.
  12. Store cookies in airtight container.
