Ultimate Stafford Steak

- 1/3 cup olive oil shopping list
- 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar shopping list
- 1 tablespoon chopped shallots shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly chopped basil shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon dried tarragon shopping list
- 2 filet mignons shopping list
- 1/4 cup brandy shopping list
- 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream shopping list
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms shopping list
- 2 teaspoons multi-colored peppercorns shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
How to make it
- Make marinade by combining oil, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, shallots and herbs.
- Add meat to marinade and refrigerate for up to 2 hours turning occasionally then preheat oven to 450.
- In cast iron pan sear steaks on both sides until nicely browned then place pan in preheated oven and cook for 20 minutes.
- Remove meat from pan and keep warm.
- Return pan to stovetop over high heat.
- Deglaze pan with brandy.
- Reduce heat to medium then add cream and reduce by half.
- Add mushrooms and seasonings.
- Heat through for 5 minutes.
