How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 then grease and flour a rectangular pan.
  • Drain pineapple syrup into large bowl and save pineapple for filling.
  • Blend in remaining cake ingredients until moistened then beat as directed on package.
  • Pour half the batter into prepared pan.
  • In small bowl combine first 6 filling ingredients until smooth then add pineapple.
  • Spoon filling over batter in pan then cover with remaining batter then bake 50 minutes.
  • Cool in pan 5 minutes then invert onto serving tray and cool.
  • In small bowl combine frosting ingredients and beat as directed on frosting package.
  • Frost cake.
