Ingredients

How to make it

  • After you've been cooking or baking with vanilla beans, you usually have the leftover pods or husks (you've scraped out the goo and seeds already to use).
  • Pop the leftover pods into the bottle of vodka. Doesn't really matter how many you use, it'll just intensify the flavour.
  • Feel free to add a few whenever you have them, they don't all have to go in at once.
  • Remove the beans when the vodka no longer covers the tops of the pods (almost time to get another bottle anyway!)
  • If pieces of pod break off or you find there is any silt, you may want to strain before using.
  • **Try as a highball with your favourite Rootbeer!
