Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup peach preserves
  • 1/4 cup apricot preserves
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 5 teaspoons white vinegar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons water

Directions
  1. Combine all of the ingredients except the water in a food processor or blender and puree until the mxure is smooth
  2. Pour mixture into a small saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Add watter, stir, and bring mixture to a boil. Allow it to boil for 5 minutes, stirring often.
  4. When the sauce has thickened, remove it from the heat and let cool.
  5. Store sauce in a covered container in the refrigerator.
  6. Makes 3/4 cup

...this is great! I have been looking for a good sweet and sour sauce recipe....Now, my favorite is Jack in the Box sweet and sour sauce....any recipe for that one?

I LOVE McD's sweet and sour - thanks for bringing this one to me...so glad I spotted it tonight. It will be great with eggrolls, too (or my deep fried pheasant popppers!!) - great dipping sauce for so many things!
