Ingredients
  • 2 TBS. Olive oil
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 1 tea. minced garlic
  • 1/4 tea. crushed red pepper (more if you like hot)
  • 1/2 cup julienned pepperoni
  • 1 jar ( 14 oz.) marinara sauce
  • 1/4 tea. salt
  • 1/4 tea. freshly ground pepper
  • 1 pound mostaccioli or ziti, cooked according to package and drained
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (optional)

Directions
  1. Heat olive oil over medium high in large skillet
  2. Add onions, cook till golden. (about 8 minutes)
  3. Add garlic, red pepper and cook for 15 seconds.
  4. Stir in the pepperoni and marinara sauce; bring to boil.
  5. Reduce heat, simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in salt & pepper
  6. Toss the sauce with the hot pasta and chopped parsley (and cilantro) in serving bowl and serve.
