Pasta with Pepperoni Marinara

- 2 TBS. olive oil shopping list
- 1 cup sliced onions shopping list
- 1 tea. minced garlic shopping list
- 1/4 tea. crushed red pepper (more if you like hot) shopping list
- 1/2 cup julienned pepperoni shopping list
- 1 jar ( 14 oz.) marinara sauce shopping list
- 1/4 tea. salt shopping list
- 1/4 tea. freshly ground pepper shopping list
- 1 pound mostaccioli or ziti, cooked according to package and drained shopping list
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley shopping list
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Heat olive oil over medium high in large skillet
- Add onions, cook till golden. (about 8 minutes)
- Add garlic, red pepper and cook for 15 seconds.
- Stir in the pepperoni and marinara sauce; bring to boil.
- Reduce heat, simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in salt & pepper
- Toss the sauce with the hot pasta and chopped parsley (and cilantro) in serving bowl and serve.
