This recipe is for homemade brownies; it does not even compare to box brownies. Once you have eaten these homemade brownies you will not want box brownies anymore. They are also very easy to make.

Ingredients
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups of flour
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups pecans (optional)

Directions
  1. Melt butter in small boiler; then add cocoa; stir.
  2. In large bowl , mix sugar and eggs, then add flour, cocoa and nuts (by hand).
  3. Add cocoa and butter mixture to sugar, eggs, and flour mixture.
  4. Stir well.
  5. Pour into 13 x 9 pan.
  6. Bake on 350 degrees 35 or 40 minutes or until done.

You can also put chocolate frosting on top. I prefer the Duncan Hines frosting from the can.
