DATE NUT AND ORANGE FRUIT BREAD

a very moist flavorful fruit bread
Ingredients
- 1/2c soft butter shopping list
- 1c sugar shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 2 small banana's, mashed shopping list
- 1c chopped dates shopping list
- 1T zested orange peel shopping list
- 1/2c chopped pecans shopping list
- 1c buttermilk or sour milk shopping list
- 1tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1tsp salt shopping list
- 2c flour shopping list
How to make it
- Beat butter and sugar until light. Add egg, mix well.
- Mix together mashed bananas,dates, nuts, zest, milk and baking soda.
- In a separate bowl sift the flour, baking powder and salt.
- Add to butter mixture alternately with the banana mixture beginning and ending with flour mixture.
- Pour into 2 greased medium loaf pans.
- Bake at 350F for 40-45 mins. or until done.
- Stir juice from orange with 1/4c sugar and drizzle over loaf while still warm.
