- 1/2 red onion shopping list
- 150g grated camaebert shopping list
- 150g tomato puree shopping list
- 200g breadcrumbs shopping list
- 1tsp cumin shopping list
- 1 tsp curry powder shopping list
- 50g crushed walnuts shopping list
- 50g chopped raisins shopping list
- 150ml oil for shallow frying shopping list
How to make it
- It helps if you put the cheese in the freezer for 1/2 hour to help with grating.
- Finely dice 1/2 red onion
- Grate cheese
- put all in a bowl and mix with your hands to make ball shapes.
- If the mixture is too wet add more breadcrumbs, and if too dry add more tomato puree.
- Put the oil in a small pan and heat gently, it should be hot enough to
- fry but not to burn. The balls will go a golden brown colour, do one or two at a time.
- Place onto kitchen paper to drain off excess oil, and keep until needed.
- If cooking straight away, pre-heat oven to 180ÂșC and cook for 15-20 mins.
- Serve with a mango and red onion chutney or roast red pepper sauce and a little salad.
