How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Place butter in a 9: x 13: pan in the oven, and remove as soon as melted.
  • Sift all dry ingredients together and add the milk and stir until just barely mixed.
  • Knead 10 times on floured board.
  • Roll out to a 1/2" thick rectangle.
  • Cut in half lengthwise and into 3/4" wide strips.
  • Roll in the butter in the pan until all are placed into pan.
  • Bake in oven for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Makes approximately 32.

    OHHHHH i love these....I had this recipe in my old Betty Crocker book...I added sesame seeds on top once and they tasted pretty good....I first made these when I was 13. My parents were praising me for these....THANKS FOR POSTING IT HERE!
