Butter Dips Recipe
Simple finger shaped buttery biscuit. My son likes them best with a garlic flavor added.

Ingredients
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 2 1/4 C. flour
  • 1 Tbls. sugar
  • 1 Tbls baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 C milk

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Place butter in a 9: x 13: pan in the oven, and remove as soon as melted.
  3. Sift all dry ingredients together and add the milk and stir until just barely mixed.
  4. Knead 10 times on floured board.
  5. Roll out to a 1/2" thick rectangle.
  6. Cut in half lengthwise and into 3/4" wide strips.
  7. Roll in the butter in the pan until all are placed into pan.
  8. Bake in oven for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Makes approximately 32.

OHHHHH i love these....I had this recipe in my old Betty Crocker book...I added sesame seeds on top once and they tasted pretty good....I first made these when I was 13. My parents were praising me for these....THANKS FOR POSTING IT HERE!
