Two Old Favorite ( Chocolate and Shortbread) come together to make a Cookie that will melt in your mouth!

Ingredients
  • 1 C butter, softened ( no substitutes)
  • 1/2 C brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 C flour
  • 1/4C cornstarch
  • 1/2 C mini-chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 tbs. sugar

Directions
  1. mix butter, brown sugar and vanilla.
  2. gradually blend in flour and cornstarch.
  3. add chocolate chips.
  4. form into 1 inch balls, place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  5. dip bottom of drinking glass in sugar and gently press down on each cookie to flatten.
  6. bake in preheated oven ( 300 degrees) for 25-30 mins ( or bottom starts to brown).
  7. cool 5 mins. remove cookies to wire racks to cool completely.
