Steak Soup

- 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour shopping list
- 2-1/2 cups beef broth shopping list
- 1 small tomato diced shopping list
- 1 small carrot diced shopping list
- 1 small onion diced shopping list
- 1/4 cup celery diced shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon browning sauce shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1/2 pound ground beef chili grind shopping list
- 2 cups mixed vegetables shopping list
How to make it
- Melt butter in 3 quart saucepan over low heat then stir in flour.
- Cook over low heat stirring constantly until mixture is smooth then remove from heat.
- Stir in broth then heat to boiling stirring constantly.
- Boil and stir 1 minute then stir in tomato, carrot, onion, celery, browning sauce and pepper.
- Heat to boiling then reduce heat to low.
- Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
- While vegetables are simmering cook beef in skillet over medium heat 7 minutes then drain.
- Stir vegetables and beef into soup then heat to boiling and reduce heat to low.
- Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
