A family staple. Turkey is a nice change from beef recipes. Ground chicken is alo a nice substitute! And we use whole wheat pasta- like the nuttiness to it.

Ingredients
  • Olive Oil
  • 1, lb roll of frozen lean ground turkey, or fresh lean ground turkey
  • 1 large red green bell pepper
  • 1 large green bell pepper
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 lg can a favorite tomato or pasta sauce
  • salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, dried chille pepper powder to taste
  • 1/2 lb whole wheat penne paste cooked aldente

Directions
  1. In a skillet, heat some olive oil and saute the chopped onion, chopped garlic, chopped peppers until softened.
  2. Add the ground turkey and cook and stir until meat is no longer pink. The meat should be a bit chunky consistency.
  3. Stir in the tomato sauce.
  4. Lower heat and cook and simmer about 20 minutes to blend all falvors.
  5. Meanwhile cook pasta.
  6. To serve add the hot sauce over hot cooked pasta.
  7. Optional: grated cheese etc.
