How to make it

  • Grate potatoes.
  • Cover with boiling water and let stand 15 minutes.
  • Drain well.
  • Combine potatoes, flour, egg, butter and salt.
  • If to stiff add a bit of water or to thin add a bit of flour.
  • Drop by Tablespoons into hot fat and fry golden
  • Drain on toweling.
  • I like to put powdered sugar on these

    These are great! I do them all the time, when the sweet potatoes are in. I put a recipe on here today so similar to this. I'm sorry, I should have checked to see if it was already on here.
